U have to remember out of the so called 11 million they say I believe it's more aren't gonna apply some may not afford it , some maybe scarred to be deported by coming out and so forth .America needs undocumented persons any way because if they give and continue to give every1 their gc who's gonna work the farms and restaurants and those low wage jobs . The govt going to create a system where u going to self deport , they Going to make it so difficult to where people aren't going to overstay for long & cross the border no matter what the requirements are 11 million people aren't gonna apply ,y'all need to just be glad they even considering it cuz if Romney was there it would be a diff story while they trying to eliminate as much undocs as possible they would never give it to all of them . If this passes I won't expect to see another bill in the future

Seriously, if the bill covered everyone that was here since yesterday then it would fail. There's a difference between what's ideal and what's realistic. We need to be realistic.

Many of us called and faxed US representatives, attended rallies, etc, but some of them aren't going to receive any benefits much like those who crossed the border illegally one day after 1986's immigration reform, those who aged out of DACA, left the country, married, died, etc.

In the end it is a personal struggle. What will make you qualify for these benefits is the result of your own efforts: your ability to take risks, facing the fear of deportation every time you drive to work without a license, spending your savings on attorneys and forms, etc. You are doing these things for yourself and just because you sympathize with the plight of other people in a similar position, it doesn't make you responsible for them. First I am an individual and then I am whatever fucking label people apply to me.

One observation. People are selfish, some more than others, but being less selfish doesn't make you any better than anyone else, unless of course, you belong to the group of people that love to pat each other's backs.
Ding ding ding!! People are naturally born selfish, look at babies, the most selfish creatures on the planet.. But through evolution we got better, kinda getting off topic but yea 10 years after legalization, no one is going to give 2 fucks about immigration, its the same thing with the 1986 people.. They don't fight for the current CIR and could give 2 shits about immigration issues, its the nature of the beast boys

2006 and 2007 CIR bill was minimum here 2 years right?

This one is more lenient at less than 2 years so far.

I predict that the 5 years continuous will stay for the Dream Act though.

If CIR passes and the undocumented gets the work permit than he/she has less than 6 months to find work? So LPR's cannot be unemployed for more than 6 months at a time for 10 years right?

They keep mentioning show that one is employed now?

Does anybody know what is going to happen to us Dreamers or DACA recipients? It is going to suck to wait 10 years for a green card. It will be great for my parents because they can work legally. It will affect me because I will not be able to find a job in my field and there will be other dreamers in the same situation. I really hope Dream Act is attached to the immigration bill.

Nothing concrete yet. Just rumors that we will get (conditional?) permanent residency "immediately". Virtually every member of the Gang of Eight has mentioned that we will have it much better over the rest in the other categories. Essentially, it's a given and no one has commented on it any further because everyone agrees that we were brought here by no fault of our own.

Hopefully something good will happen.
