He will officially become a president on January 20th. He promised to terminate DACA within his first 100 days in the office. So basically we should be prepared by May.

The sad part is that I still have 1 semester left to receive my bachelor's degree in Accounting. I think I will be able to do that.

After that im off to Canada or Australia. Lived in US since I was 12. Will turn 27 in June. Time for a change I guess.

How has Accounting been for you?

Do your employment prospects look interesting?

I have always been able to avoid, telling anyone other than family that i am illegal here. My friend think I am a citizen, and i have never corrected them. I finished college, have a job in my field. But, if DACA ends, I will be questioned by everyone, whats going on? My friends hate trump as most of them are hispanics and, citizens. I don't want to tell them, I am on DACA, because I know they will understand me, but they will feel sorry for me. I don't any sympathy from them. I know they will understand what I am going through, I just don't want to be labeled as an illegal Immigrant. How did you handle you guys handle it?

Why are you embarrassed of telling people you have DACA? I came in at work today telling everyone I was moving to Australia, kind of jokingly. Everyone knows I'm illegal and no one cares.

I've yet to handle it. My best friend doesn't know, but I will have to tell her soon. It's just so hard. I want don't want sympathy, but at the same time I wish they could understand what WE go though. It's not easy.

yes, accounting can have long hours on some days, when there are deadlines to meet. There are days your hours are normal. Depending on what field you are of accounting it can be boring, especially at entry level, like in my case, but there situations, usually handled by upper management sometimes delegated to the lower branch, when you are put to solve a puzzle. The process of the puzzle may be complicated, but solving it can be interesting, and very much satisfying when you get it done, present it to you manager, and get rewarded for it.

Current Accountant at a Broker Firm, soon to loose the job because of trump.

I'm not embarrassed. I don't want their sympathy.

Move the registry date, so ppl can apply for status? That"sounds what they have done before...it'seems the last hope for the next two months.

I know, I wish I could tell them, and expect their reaction to be, like the one above, laugh about it and move on, or be like so what are you going to do. But, no they are going to feel sorry for me.
