Oh no, are Democrats trying to have Trump cancel DACA. I smell a set-up.

I am glad she got the opportunity to speak, but if she screws it up for the rest of us, I am going to be pissed as should all of you. Let's give her a chance to see what she has to say.

Let's hope Astrid does not become an asteroid and fucks us over.

We don't praise Trump, but we do thank him for keeping DACA and wanting to work out a legislative solution. Talking about throwing people under the bus -- the far, radical left will do just that to us, DACAers, to push their all or nothing approach.

Please don't do that, Astrid et al.
Thanks.

Sorry, I am just very frustrated that the all or nothing camp gets the media attention. The dissenters hardly do. To this day, I have yet to see a dreamer that advocates the Bernoulli-Smooth-2face pragmatic approach.

Why did you include your name as if you were talking in third point of view?

Astrid is the worst person to talk. She will become Trump's Mexican Rosie O'Donnell. She is just bold and looking for political gain because she is about to become a citizen.

Democrats...

She has a degree in political science and she is using us as her platform. She obviously has political aspirations. It is all part of a scheme.

I think there's a bigger picture that we're missing here.

Sure, DACA is great for those of you that were able to obtain it. No argument there. And it's crazy because there are some of us here that have been in the country for a very long time, with much deeper roots, but weren't able to get it.

I personally do not hold that against anyone. I truly am happy for those of you that have it. But keep in mind that there are some of us who have endured extreme adversity for many years; whereas there are some of you who were able to obtain DACA straight out of High School and probably have no idea what it's like to live in the shadows at the level some of us have had to do so.

We're all fighting an uphill battle with a significant disadvantage. Some of us have more of a disadvantage than others, but that's just the way things are right now.

I believe that advocates who are trying to give immigrants a voice are simply doing so because they understand that this whole situation of living off of sympathy, uncertainty, and bread crumbs from the government is nothing short of cruel.

It's true that this country doesn't owe anyone shit. I get that. But for the young ones here on this forum: you may not be looking at the situation this way right now, but if you live in uncertainty long enough; trust me, you will get sick and tired from living off of diminutive action from the government that leaves you wondering every day what will happen tomorrow.

This is what advocates are fighting for, to end your uncertainty. And yes, they should be taking political strategy and an informed approach into consideration, because those things are of paramount importance.
