yes brother,

the spending omnibus bill is the quickest solution and sure fire way to pass relief for us, if we wait for compromise and negotiations (which im sure can also happen.) it will lurch in to the spring of 2018.

we just have to wait next week. stay tuned!

That is what your statement made it sound like. He just doesn't want anything in the spending bill, that is it. This is where you came to the conclusion that he doesnt want anything to pass for us this year.

I will be waiting.
It seems like after reading this article you started flipping out....

You really believe the GOP is going to move on and pass a spending bill just like that? Just relax and wait it out. We're all on the same boat here.

So given the recent events in the last 24 hours, how many think we are still getting our Christmas present?

I don't think we are. I honestly don't think we will at all anymore. I think many DACA recipients will lose status next year.

Best case scenario, Trump extends it or we get Bridge Act. DA is dead IMO.

I feel you, I think some people just try their best to stay optimistic, and then there is some that are expiring soon and start thinking of the worst, which is ok, I would too. Let's hope everything turns out ok which I think it will.

I agree, but who gets happy about a gov shutdown? Do these people live in Russia or something. We are all Americans and a gov shutdown is going to affect us.

Let us hope for the best dude.

[quote=Demise;655211]I-601As are done administratively by some bored lifetime employee in a cubicle somewhere in depressing town of Lincoln, Nebraska. Honestly who runs USCIS matters very little. Also one more thing to consider, USCIS is DHS, not DOJ. Also surprisingly the waivers nobody has touched or even mentioned thus far. The office I currently work at is doing them and so far we have a 100% approval rate, even during the Trump admin.

Unlawful presence waivers aren't trivial, but they aren't hard.

Can you recommend a good lawyer for waivers?

“We are not leaving home without the Dream Act” worst case scenario the republicans come together (highly unlikely) and then have to persuade 8 Dems to join. (Impossible) they gotta give in sooner or later

I can't wait for the day when I stop checking this forum more often that I check my work email!

Beehive, I am with you. I think the chances of DA in December is looking slim now that words like "illegal immigration" and "amnesty" are being thrown around by the President. Even if the bill passes (big if), the President has to sign it.
