Flake on DACA deal: "I have a hard time seeing it done by the 19th, but the commitment from our majority leader was get a bill on the floor by the end of the month. We need some runway between then and March 5."

Flake said the bipartisan group of senators has a deal — "and so we'll be talking to the White House about that, and I hope we can move forward with it. It's the only game in town. There's no other bill."

So Graham and Durbin are optimistic about releasing it soon and Flake is not? SIGH

Paraphrasing:
She says the 4 "White guys" and General Kelly are the main key players in negotiations. Plenty of other bipartisan activity going on and we are close. Want CIR to be handled in a similar and bipartisan way.

If they have a deal, why can't they fucking put it to a vote? God damn it. There is no fucking runway Flake. THE TIME IS NOW.

You've already promised twice, be sure or shut up.
Didn’t she say she wanted a deal in hand ahead of the spending bill?

Flake you better strap some rockets to this plane then. You asshats already kicked the can down 3 times. You honestly expect anything to pass while people are out there defending their seats in primaries and general?

Totally agree with you.

It's a strategy to offer a bill that can be amended later on the floor of the Senate to give a sense of input from all Senators, or even let the House remove that and give the conservative wing in the House a sense of bicameral input

Too bad none of this will apply to me cause my dumbass got a DUI lol

But I know a lot of other Dreamers and they do deserve to finally have a path to legalization.

I'll just get married lol

I think we all need to chill.

These latest developments are the best news I've seen for a potential codification of Dreamers into law.

Patience is a virtue my friends!
