Believe me, DACA is Trump's trump card. As the FBI starts closing in and he starts feeling his support slipping away, the ban hammer will come down to regain control.

There is nothing with Russia that will affect him much.

True. In all fairness though, most people who watch him didn’t pay attention in high school civics.

they probably want the 3rd injunction to happen first then they will implement this so that it will be the 'most' recent injunction.

Show me case law to prove otherwise.
it will be very messy for the government if they cancel existing valid EAD of each DACA recipient. each one can theoretically file a lawsuit against it in district court and imagine DOJ running around the country and sending the DOJ lawyers to respond each lawsuit. I can bet on it, some judges will give a quick injunction. this will not be cost effective for DOJ. they pretty much want to round up all 11-20 million undocumented and deport them but they dont have resources to find/catch/detain/prosecute/deport them. it ultimate boils down to the cost.
IMHO only further extensions will be in danger even if they rescind DACA not the existing valid EADs.

On USCIS, if you look at the data, there are people who sent it in 23 months from expiration and they were accepted.
