Unless the Democrats win back the White House, the Senate and keep the House in 2020, buckle up! Because there will be no compromise any time soon on the Democratic side either.

For those who think they have some master plan, they don’t, that’s the harsh reality of it.
That's a bunch of bullshit. She uses the UWD rhetoric to justify saying no to the deal. She knows damn well is willing to support border security.

The sad part about it is that it’s not just her being controlled by these so called activist, but the wave of progressives aren’t helping our cause either.

Legislation protecting the roughly 700,000 people whose futures are in the balance “needs to be clean and I feel very strongly about that. No strings attached,” Kamala Harris said in an interview on the BuzzFeed News
My question is, how could any dreamer believe that the Senate will somehow pass a clean DA bill and expect Trump to sign it?!?

To me is clear that Pelosi and the Democrats will not negotiate. The whole excuse of not negotiating because it’s nothing permanent for us is pure bogus if you ask me.

Democrats were on board for 25 billion for Dream Act. When trump blew that up in their face, they were done. They were willing to take the heat from progressive orgs to get results.

Now that DACA will remain untouched for another year and many of us will be protected into 2020, the sense of urgency is gone. Tbh fuck trump! Fuck his wall and any win for him!

25 billion wasn’t enough for us! Heartless asshole

Bro, UWD is annoying, but Pelosi only mentions clean Dream Act now to justify saying no to Trump. Schumer is the same way.

Like I said, neither of them believe in a clean Dream Act (aka legalization with no border security). She is bullshitting those far left morons because she is willing to vote for alternative forms of border security.

Totally, would be a miracle if we even get a DACA patch.

People need to stop throwing this $25 billion excuse. For crying out loud do you’re research. You guys want to act like if the Democrats went to Trump and handed him a check for $25 billion upfront and that was the end.

No!

Democrats did offer $25 billion, HOWEVER only $1 billion out of $25 billion was going to be paid upfront, the rest the government couldn’t guaranteed because it’s not set up to guarantee that’s why that deal was a non starter for Trump.

Trump wants his wall now, what good would a $25 billion non guaranteed deal would do for him years after he’s out of office? That’s why this deal didn’t work out.

Let’s please stop believing that the Democrats offered him a $25 billion check upfront.

This. Progressive orgs really don’t have that much muscle. In the end, they will always support a democrat over a republican. Remember all those progressive orgs were going to withhold endorsements over the clean dream act shutdown? They still endorsed democrats because the GOP is far far worse enemy.

While this seems like the middle ground, it would be struck down in court. If you research the "Gold Card" by Arlen Specter. This was brought up as a solution for all 11 million a decade ago during the CIR debate.

It would be seen as violating the equal protection clause in the Constitution.
