I called USCIS and the officer told me they were just processing May 15th applications. Then I asked him why some people who have the same or a later priority date have been approved before me and he said it was probably because they might have had some "legal" reasons or other factors. He refused to transfer me to a tier 2 officer and told me to make an infopass. *sigh* I just want a straight answer.

Just be cautious of anything definitive sounding and any officer that sounds very sure of themselves. I've gotten plenty of 'straight answers' and most were completely baseless and wrong.

216 days and counting...

You haven't gotten approved yet? On the spreadsheet it says you got approved on 9/20. I've seen other people mentioning wrong information on their timeline in the spreadsheet so maybe you were one of the group that also has wrong info on the spreadsheet.

I wonder if that's true. We are May 12th and haven't been approved yet.

I was finally able to get transferred to a tier 2 rep. They're going to call me back. But this is the first time I have been able to be transferred. I don't even think they'll tell me anything I want to hear but I find this a small success. The only different thing I did was try the Spanish line and the guy went on and on about how there is no timeline and that there is no information that can be given because they are just customer reps. After hearing all the mumble jumbo I asked nicely if I could be transferred to someone that does have the information I need which was to know if my case was assigned to an officer yet. And right away he said yes and transferred me. Anyway congrats to those who have been approved. I've been waiting forever but seems I still have a long way.

Submitted 3/23/16
Expired 8/17/16
DACA Approved 9/20/16
EAD ????

I was told it went into production on 9/20, then told that no, that wasn't the case and my case had been transferred early October then on 10/16 my card was sent to production, but thus far only on the case tracker - not in ELIS.

Although it's different by case, it definitely should not take 6 months and you can submit an inquiry if over 105 days. I was told that you can submit an outside of processing time inquiry once you hit 105 days.

Don't feel discouraged by that woman!
Thank you jmoon! I actually called back today and had a much more positive experience. The customer service representative was able to send a service request to Nebraska to flag my case. So hopefully I hear something back soon.
