I'm glad to see some people getting their card in the mail. I was approved the 19. So I think it'll be a few more weeks until I have mine. It's been a horrible experience.
This month in general has been horrible. I cried uncontrollably when they called me telling me I had two weeks to show them the card, or I'd be fired. (No card yet, been over 2 weeks). My company, HR de parent and direct managers, call me to see how I'm doing and if there's any updates. I just want my card to be back at work. HR department is having a meeting today to see if I should be terminated (they never did, because I told them I was approved, it was nice of them). Or to see how much longer they're willing to wait for me before my spot is available for someone else. That was this week.
Also, this week I was driving with my younger sisters and we got in a 5 car accident. My car got totalled and towed away. So now, no car. We're all safe thank God. But my car and another car were completly damaged. So now get this..
No car. No job. No money. Waiting on insurance to see what they decided on who's fault it is (not mine). Can't stand seeing my husband deal with my stress. It's all because of me, it feels like.
I just hope I get my card soon so I can start working and pick up shifts to make up for all the money I lost while not working.

I hope you guys are having a better week than me. Keep your heads up.
We come from strong families!

Update on my application:

Submitted an Ombudsman last Thurs. Aside from a confirmation email, no response on that yet — and honestly, I'm not holding my breath for anything to come out of that.

Submitted an outside of processing time e-request last Thurs. Got a generic email response this morning saying the DACA processing time is 6 months and they are "making every effort" to adjudicate within that time and can't give me a specific date for a final decision. I'm shocked.... NOT.

Called USCIS last Thurs and yesterday. Unsuccessfully tried to get transferred to a T2 rep (called too late). Unsuccessfully tried to get T1 rep to put in a service request (was told to wait 105 days). Blah.

Submitted Congressional inquiry last Friday. Rep called me yesterday to let me know they had reached out to their liaison about my application and was waiting on a response. Rep called me again this morning to let me know that there had been some issues but that they had been resolved and that it was just a matter of waiting for my application to be assigned to an adjudicator. He said it shouldn't take too long at this point and that unfortunately they couldn't expedite it. I asked if the issues encountered where from my end or from USCIS's end and he told me most likely theirs. So the wait continues....
Another update on my application:

I contacted the ILRC on 8/19 and they flagged my case on 8/21 (a week ago). So far nothing has come out of it.

I called USCIS on Monday and had a T1 put in a SR for my i-821D finally. I'm thinking of calling again today to have a SR put in for my i-765. Currently waiting on a T2 call back so I can inquire if my application has been assigned to an officer yet.

I'm also gonna call my Congresswoman's rep at some point today to ask them to look into my application again to see if they can get any new update.

I'll be hitting the 120 day mark next week and will contact the NILC when I do.

Now on to the really stressful part.... My 60-day leave from work ends next Friday. I'm supposed to be terminated after that and I ain't gonna lie, that scares me a lot. I asked my HR guy about possibly extending my leave just a bit longer till the end of November but didn't get an answer on that since he was out of town. Gonna ask again today and see what happens. Funny thing is that he hasn't been pressing me at all for updates, it's almost as if he's forgotten that I'm on leave. They have a temp in place covering for me so it doesn't seem to be urgent to fill my spot which gives me hope that they will wait just a little bit longer. Sigh, just really hope I get something within that time frame finally. I miss my job, miss working, miss having an income. Fuck this bullshit already.

I just don't understand there have been so many updates for people with their EAD that have been approved between 10/12 and 10/14 that their card has been shipped or produced and ive been approved 10/10 and its still in production. Losing my mind.

Wayno15, what does your case status exactly say on case tracker?? Does it say "card is being produced" or "case was aproved."
Do you have access to ELIS? Does it show your I-765 as still in process or closed?

I would personally just wait it out. Hiring a lawyer for $1,000 seems unreasonable. They cannot expedite a DACA case. By the time you get approved, it'll seem like it was thanks to the lawyer, but in reality, it was probably just your turn. If in fact, they have good relations with USCIS, then that's great, but do you wanna risk $1,000?

With 1000 you can go on a nice vacation. Kick back and enjoy your time off. I wish i was expired for a little longer.

My job hasn't noticed mine expired yet, and it's been expired over a month.
