Yeah it hurts when they terminate you. Just remember you are not the first, or last dreamer to go through that. So while you guys are still working save up all you can. I met with HR today, and after a lengthy process I'm finally going back to work Monday. I was out of my job from October up until now. (I do have a part time right now 3 weeks I'm 20 hours a week).
Couldn't agree more with you.

Same thing happen to me, got laid off because my renewal didn't come in time. So save as much as you can, because you really can't rely on the renewal timeliness, apply with plenty of time and get ready for the worst.

Holy crap! Congratulations man, that's a long time to wait. I'm almost at that point as well. My congressperson got the same response, but that was back in October.

Damn you too? It really sucked. I was eating rice, and black beans, and other cheap food while I built my savings for this horrible renewal. Have you got rehired? When I was reapplying my boss said he saw my application and put it down cuz he wasn't so sure. I had a failed interview with another boss for the same company because he was so worried about my EAD/Termination. The people at my work found out why I went missing lol

When they let me go they told me to come back when my permit got renewed. I'm already renewed for DACA but damn EAD is taking forever, but once I get it I can come back. I hope whatever is next for DACA they include extentions like TPS has
