I was very lucky this time around. I mailed my application on 11/22/16, biometrics on 12/13/16, and received both my EAD card and DACA approval letter on 12/31/16. My previous card doesn't expire until April 21, 2017.

Hey, how soon did you get your biometrics appointment letter? Just curious.

I have a question. Today I received text notifications that my application was accepted on January 11,2017 so I went and check both numbers and one said that my Biometrics was Scheduled for January 12,2017. But I didn't receive any letters just the text messages. Has anyone encountered the same thing? If so, what should I do??

You should wait for your biometrics letter. If you have access to your ELIS account (they send this in a separate letter with your code), you can also pull up an online copy of your biometrics letter. If you never receive either of these letters, which has happened to me, you can contact USCIS Help hotline early in the morning, like 8 AM on the dot. They will transfer you to an agent who can give you an ELIS code. If you call anytime after 8:30 AM, you run the risk of the agents being too busy to accept any transfers.

Just looked up my status and my EAD was approved on 1/16. My timeline is below.

After you got biometrics done, did you receive any other notification?

My timeline is in my sig. I know a lot of people have been waiting to be approved for many months, but recently I've noticed many people with similar timelines as mine being approved much faster than everyone else. My renewal was received on 12/2/16. I had my scheduled biometrics done on 12/15/16. I havent received any other notice since then. Should I be worried? I'm probably just freaking out but I was hoping to be approved before trumps inauguration.

I am in a similar situation, we have almost the same dates, my renewal was received on November 29th, 2016, and Biometrics sent out on December 1st. I went to do my biometrics on December 9th, 2016 and haven't heard anything since then. While some are getting approved quicker than others, I think our approval time should be sometime this week or next week- no need to worry, I doubt that Trump will remove DACA on day 1 of his inauguration. I believe that since we are postmarked before his inauguration we will be in the clear. Think positive!!
