The problem is that he is at a point where DACA is no longer valuable to him because the Democratic leadership have made it clear that they will NOT negotiate with Trump in order to keep DACA. They just want him to keep DACA without anything in return and that's not going to fly with President Trump.

Trump is said to be weighing multiple options for the future of DACA, White House sources told Fox News.

One thing to consider – should he decide to end the program, it could put a wrench in his other immigration plans, including securing the border wall, Capitol Hill aides told the Washington Examiner.

Trusting trump over congress is like trusting a thief over a pack of burglars. Another morally bankrupt idea from the dreamers4trump.

"but i could keep daca!"

yea but if you only settle for DACA, trump will spend his time deporting your family cause all you settled for was DACA. Great good for you. Then at the end he could decide that you know what "those dreamers ought to go home and dream over there" and boom, now you're back to square 1.

I trust the group who can ACTUALLY do something positive for us, vs the perso who can only harm us.

Here's to hoping that Schumer and Pelosi are just posturing so as to not have the Republican's roll over them in negotiations. There are plenty of examples of politicians saying one thing and doing another, Trump himself promised to end DACA day one and we're still here. Anything can happen right now.

Its easy for those Democrats to come out and say : "we are not negotiating the fate of those DACA kids" but remember that they were just responding to RUMORS about what Trump is going to do. Trump hasnt said anything publicly. What do you think Schumer is gonna do if he gets a call from Trump on Sep 30th saying : "get me my 8 votes or else DACA is gone" is he still gonna scream bloody murder or will he concede?

Our fate depends on one person, and we have no idea what he's thinking and we keep relying on these fake news reports by "inside sources" telling us what he's gonna do.

They were not responding to rumors, they were clearly asked by reporters if they would support any path to legalization for dreamers in exchange for border security. Both said absolutely NOT. They have been consistent with that. That's the reality of it, no excuses for their actions. They want amnesty for all with NO border security and that's impossible under any administrations!

Both Nancy and Schumer would see this as big win for Trump if he were to legalize us. Why is that? Because Trump and the GOP are supposed to be the bad guys remember and that's the way it should stay. Anyone that thinks Pelosi and Schumer are fighting for us is delusional. They want Trump to do the dirty work while keeping their hands cleans and say "hey we tried!"

I agree. As a group, since we understand this and able to see it through, we need to do something....

Exactly. A lot of DACA beneficiaries are turning 36 this year. A childhood arrival is a childhood arrival. Congress members and advocates realize that what matters is WHEN you arrived not your age now or when you legalize. The age cap on DACA was a very stupid, arbitrary rule.

As with every legalization program before, what matters is when you arrived or how long you've been here, not how old one is. There is no age cap for TPS for that same reason.

So yes, if you incorrectly call Dreamers 'children' (which implies a current age) vs a childhood arrival (one who arrived as a child and grew up American) makes ALL the difference.
