The fact that they even want to negotiate. Look at tax reform, Dem's shut out because they only need 50 votes. Omnibus will need 60, which means they NEED Dems. Dem's have them by the balls.

Okay lay off the drugs/booze or whatever you're on.

In the senate they need 60 votes to raise the debt ceiling, without that any budget bill is moot. There is 52 republicans in the senate. So they'd need at very least 8 democrats to flip, assuming all republicans fall in line (they won't, they never do).

In the house there's 40ish republicans (freedom caucus and some other small group of deficit hawks) that won't vote for anything without severe spending cuts, and then moderates on the other end would drop out from that. There's 240 Republicans, slightly under 200 is well under the majority cutoff (218).

So whether they like it or not, either they make cuts that will only make the blue wave 20 ft taller, or they break down and give democrats the things they want.

Exactly no event happened.

Why do you guys always make up stuff? Be direct and don't misguide other people.

An event happened you know what was it.

DT: Democrats suck and want illegals and TAXES. No deal.
Democrats: Okay, no point in going to the meeting.
Republicans: No wait, come back.
(A few hours later)
Republicans: The invitation still stands...
(Meeting starts)
DT: God dang democrats not showing up, sad, maga buy my hats made in Gyna. I will nuke Korea, there world isn't big enough for two despots with daddy issues. #Sad.
Republicans: Jesus fuckin' Christ man...

If you'd see Ryan and McConnell they looked like POWs more than party leadership.
