I hope they dont pass they are really the worst. All they will do is divide us further causing people who get it to think they deserve it, that they are better than the others.

Basically, Republicans were 20 votes short of passing a hardline immigration bill that members were told was unpassable. 193 votes, when you only needed 213 today, doesn’t seem unpassable to me.

I’m just wondering if the compromise bill has fewer votes than Goodlatte. Because that would be embarrassing for leadership. We were all told Goodlatte would go down in flames. This didn’t look like flames.

Exactly , not only us . I believe there are a lot of dreamers who are having the same circumstance as us.

This requirement makes no fucking sense. You won’t be qualified anyway whether you complied with removal order or not. If you complied with the removal order , then you wouldn’t be present in US now when the bill passes. It disqualify you as well.

I just don’t get it . That’s why I said GOP are never seriously about helping us . They are all acting .

Freedom Caucus Chair Meadows gets up in the grill of Ryan on the Hse flor in the middle of the vote series. Rare to have a mbr take on another mbr, let alone a Spkr like that.

A funny thing about that failed vote on Goodlatte is conservatives are walking away thinking they kind of won.

Shows you how important the expectations game is, because the thought was that vote would demonstrate that a hardline bill can’t pass the House. That wasn’t the lesson.

Issue in compromise immigration bill is path to citizenship for DACA population. Conservative bill did not grant a pathway. Compromise bill paid for border wall. Conservative bill didn't directly do so. Ergo, GOPers more worried about voting for "amnesty" than ok'ing border wall.
