Case received: 11/17/16
Biometrics scheduled: 12/17/2016
EAD expires on: 04/07/2017

Hey guys i have been reading for months, never commented or anything till now. I still have not received my daca or work permit renewal. I tried everything, congressman, sent an email, open a ticket, etc. my job has me on LOA for ome month before they have to fire me. that month is quickly running out. I had some money saved so as of right now I am good, but I feel like I have been kicked, like if I am useless and worthless. I don't know how to explain it. I have been working three years for this company, started as a part timer and after so many raises and promotions I am now an assistant manager. sorry, I just needed to get it out of my chest how I feel. At home I try to be strong so nobody realizes how stressful I feel.

Sorry to hear. Did you try ombudsman? Try that and reach out to your congressman/senate rep again.
Good luck

I know the feeling, I too would've lost a good paying job that I worked extremely hard for (promotion, pay raise ect). I just had my DACA approved yesterday and my card is currently in production, a full 2 weeks before it expires.

CALL your congressman's office, don't email them. I truly believe this was the difference between getting my extension now vs having to take an unpaid leave indefinitely and jeopardizing my job.

File an Ombudsman and be as detailed as possible about the potential hardships you currently face. Here is the link: https://cisomb.dhs.gov/oca/form7001.aspx

You may also email USCIS directly to have your case elevated. Just be sure to provide them with an inquiry number if you spoke to a rep over the phone and your issue wasn't resolved in 15 days.

I'm not an expert on this. But from what I have read, it should not. Speeding tickets are considered civil infractions and not a criminal offense unless otherwise stated. Check the USCIS Under DACA and you will get an idea.

So i went to check on my case and the work permit application was updated to "Card being produced" on 4/20 *ayy* but i never got a text or email. My DACA application hasn't gotten an update yet though. Is that normal? Anyone else seen this?

USCIS got my application 12/21/16
Biometrics 1/13/17
Contacted USCIS 105 days later
Contacted Ombdusman and congressman 4/10/17
Card being produced 4/20/17
DACA expired 4/26/17 (crazy!)

Oh, to add, i also contacted my Congressman and sent an email to Ombdusman. Maybe that helped?

Help guys.

So I was approved to renew DACA back in October but I just received my card today after alot of calls and services requests that didn't help. Is there anything I can do to fix this? I mean is not fair that the card took 6 months to get to me, card shows its valid for 2 years starting in October of last year that's 6 months I lost! I'm happy but at the same type pissed. You guys think they could change the date from the time i actually received my card?
