On a recent podcast, immigration attorney Aaron Reichlin-Melnick mentioned Clearview AI as a potential tool for ICE to identify and locate migrants

It already has database of 30bln pictures from social media sites. Some police departments use Clearview AI regularly. As of 2023, its services has been accessed 1mln times by US police.

I understand that we are currently facing challenging times, but we need to avoid spreading unnecessary fear. The article in question is from 2023 and does not even mention ICE. I understand that you shared an audio from an immigration attorney, but we still do not know what will happen next.

It also states that police in the US do not typically disclose their use of the software. Additionally, the software is banned in several US cities such as Portland, San Francisco, and Seattle. Let's make sure we are accurately sharing information and not causing unnecessary alarm.

If Trump Admin is willing to unleash the military, they wouldn't even think twice about employing companies like Clearview AI to achieve their goals.

I have no doubts about the situation, but there is no confirmation that he will or is taking action. As the article mentions, it will require cooperation with cities and states, and there may be lawsuits as a result. My concern is that we shouldn't cause unnecessary fear about something that is not currently happening.

Regardless of the scope, efforts to expand the detention and deportation system will face budgetary and logistical concerns, military involvement or not.

The BBC article is just there to introduce what Clearview AI is.

Real news is the podcast by a prominent immigration policy attorney.

I agree with your sentiment. Mental health is at an all-time low and there is no need to exacerbate the situation. Only the Trump administration knows what actions they will take against us, if any.. There is nothing we can do, so let us take a step back from all the worry

Time to apply 300 beauty filters to the selfie we have to upload for the EAD app. USCIS is still being cheap and reusing biometrics, so they don’t technically have good, current pics. Make yourselves unrecognizably beautiful!

I just listened to the Clearview founder

31000 American law enforcement agencies are currently using it

Including DHS

Even Ukraine is using Clearview to identify Russian spies

If your picture was on any social media, they have it

Any surveillance camera that feds have access to will be used to Identify and Locate migrants

There is absolutely no espace this time!
