The section requires a source that is:
1. Reputable
2. Pertinent
3. Informative

Trump fails on points 1 and 3.

Like it or not I agree 100% with Demise.

His tweets are pretty much meaningless. Not news worthy.

Great suggestion from Demise!!

No. That's a dumb idea. His tweets are useful indicators.

Dumbest idea in Suggestions Section Award goes to Demise.

Just cause you don't like the source doesn't make it not news.

Alone, the fact there is a source doesn't make it news.

Trump has time and again proven that he cannot be taken seriously with his own words. Any trump tweets, speeches, or rumors that involve DACA, Dreamers, the Dream Act, etc. cannot be used as a source of news. Not even as an indicator does trumps words provide of any use. He “indicated” to pass all appropriations bills back in December until he surprised everyone with a veto threat and shut down the government

You guys need to check what source of news means. If tweets are not source of truth, then all the tweets from reports are not source of truth either. They mostly use "according to some officials" rumors. Therefore, they should not appear in the news section either. And no reputable news outlets should ever report anyone's tweets.

Tweets represent someone's thoughts or ideas at a particular moment. Tweets can be used to prosecute people.

Actually since Donald Trump occupies the seat of President of the United States, that makes his statements news whether or not you consider it to be a reliable source.

High Ranking government officials are sources of news via the power of the seat, not via the person occupying the seat. The power is not derived from the person, but rather the seat, and the seat derives power from the constitution.

See the thing about the seat is that it comes with official communication channels. If Trump were to sign a directive, or an executive order, or something along those lines then yes it's very much news.

Otherwise he's not any different from any other person shitposting on twitter.

If I recall correctly the DOD basically ignored his original ban on transgender service in the military because it didn't come through those official channels.
