Source is Sketchy but the bill was pulled out last minute: LMFAOOOOO https://www.zerohedge.com/political/...iling-lawsuits

Direct link to the bill: https://www.flsenate.gov/Session/Bil...Text/Filed/PDF
A new bill introduced to Florida’s state legislature intends to prohibit illegal immigrants from being able to utilize the civil court system to file lawsuits and other legal actions.

Titled HB 71: Civil Actions Brought by Unauthorized Aliens, the single-page bill stated, “an unauthorized alien may not commence a civil action,” using the definition of “unauthorized aliens” as stated in the federal Immigration and Nationality Act.

Why beat around the bush?!

Let's end this charade of "all men created equal" and bring back slavery already.

I work in the civil courts.

I had some illegal aliens come through our doors. They are trying to bring cases to get paid for work that they performed that went unpaid. Mostly construction work. In the majority of cases, they tell me that they were threatened with deportation by the people that owe them money when they asked for their money. Most of the times, it is immigrants who have green cards that abuse them- not Americans.

It's a disgusting cycle of abuse. These people are oppressed enough as it is. If laws like this pass, these people will be abused even harder.

I think a sort of Mechanic's/Construction Lien on the property would make sure they get paid because nobody wants to trade houses that liens on them at full value. Not only that, you can even force them to sell the house to recover the debt.

Not only that, the debt could get traded to someone that isn't barred from putting liens on things creating a sort of market for debt. This wasn't going to fix undocumented people working, it was just going to create a new industry where needs are met and debts get paid. Typical politicians, they create a law with a stupid intention and get unintended results. Same story as always.
