I'm reading a lot of posts and it seems like some people are just calling their own senators. Look, most of us live in fairly liberal states so calling Feinstein or Schumer is not going to help a whole lot. Please set a goal for yourself and call everyone on this list at least 3 times. I've provided zip codes and cities for the senators who we need to be calling so you don't have to look that up on your own. If they ask you for your address, tell them that you're not comfortable giving that information out because of the patriot act, but that you'll give them the city and zip code for identification purposes.

It's only 20 senators so this time it's a lot easier.

I have posted elsewhere that we should focus on the members of the House Judiciary Committee, House Education and Labor Committee, and the Senate Judiciary Committee (and the appropriate subCommittees) because the bill must get support here before it can move to a vote on the full floor of the respective chamber.

I believe that the idea is that if you call a senator from another state you should be telling them why you feel that the DREAM Act is good for the U.S. in general, and if possible, their state in particular. Not that you live there, but why you think it is good for the country as a whole.

You should NOT give a zip code for a city you don't live in. That is something that the opposition did last time, and then tried to turn it around and say that the supporters were doing it -- don't fall into that trap, please. Try to do some outreach through your friends, family, social networking groups and get those people to make comments in their states.

As a nationwide reason for support, look at local economies and give a reason why the DREAM Act would help: For example - a senator from a state with a large number of military bases might benefit from the increased enlistment made possible through DREAM Act eligible soldiers.
