A couple months ago Harry Reid warned Republicans that if they kept obstructing key legislation (such as health care, energy, and immigration) he would cancel scheduled breaks to make up for the time lost.

That warning has become a reality today

"Reid you afraid to go Searchlight and meet the voters that are going to reject you in 2010"

Damn, this comment is absolutely true

My first thoughts reading this were "Wow! Congress has 1 extra month to work on legislation"

Reading the article further, the reality is he only cancelled what, 1 day of recess? A slap on the wrist to his colleagues.

Either way, the dream is lost.

Meh, at least the old man grew a pair AND a spine. If only for a day or whatever. It's a start, right?
