Some of those comments are .

Most of them are out right racist and just ignorant. They're claiming to love this country but, on the other hand, are saying some vile things about our president.

well at least one out of hundreds is sane and understands that we provide to the country and we love it as much or more than any other person.
" Y'all all want these illegal immigrants gone so bad, but what you don't even know
because of simple hate and ignorance is that passing Comprehensive Immigration
Reform
and legalizing a lot of these hard working undocumented immigrants,
UNDER CERTAIN REQUIREMENTS
(so that we don't have gang and violence related
undocumented immigrants legalized, and would then be easier then identify those)
is that they stimulate the Economy back up, and yes, we really do need them as
much as y'all believe we don't.
Here are the facts.
http://www.commondreams.org/newswire/2010/01/13-10,
http://www.immigrationpolicy.org/jus...nomic-benefits
-immigration-reform,
http://immigrationimpact.com/2010/01...ies-benefits-o f-immigration -reform-to-us-economy/
If you don't trust me. Look it up yourself, legalizing these undocumented
immigrants would generate a $1.2 trillion in consumption to the United States,
instead of losing $1.2 trillion and creating widespread job loss.
I would say that legalizing these boys would be the best for our country,
and if you don't want the best for our country,
well that sounds a little unpatriotic doesn't it?
Know your facts.

I started crying when I read some of those comments.

I just cannot understand the way some people think.

I know how you feel. It's indescribably frustrating. Just let them be the way they are, angry and bitter, and keep pushing for our DREAM.

Ugh...those comments....I can't believe how vile they are. Are those the kind of ignorant American citizens ICE is protecting? It makes you think about who the better people are in this country.

we've all been there. letting those comments get to you. If you take the time to look, you'll see that its the same people commenting on the same types of articles. most of the time they just copy and paste the same messages. keep your faith/hope alive. those hateful/ignorant people are just the minority. It's just that they are the loud as heck!

I've stopped reading them altogether, it gets me too angry and emotional. Just remember that even though it sounds like a lot of negativity, it's only the minority of people's opinions--the extremists are the ones who love to spew their hate all over the internet. Most people are a little more humane.

You shouldn't worry about those comments. The people who comment on the Houston chronicle are very very right wing. They comment negatively on every article they can, not just immigration. Just focus on the article.

About the raid, this isn't the typical raid. It seems this business was involved in smuggling workers which is different from raiding a business that simply has undocumented immigrants working for them.

Uhhh, you guys realize that these aren't just "regular" folks that happened to stumble upon this article, right?

If you go to alicrap, you'll find a section that specifically lists this and other articles on immigration and as soon as they post them there, the old coots fart out their Glenn Beck-shaped dildos and start hating.

It's kind of pathetic when you think about it. I mean their lives are literally so sad that they make plans around their posting time. Like "Hey Peggy, when is you goin' to git that SPAM at the dollar store" "I'm busy Carl, caint you see I in the computer protecting America from the illegals, go grab my walker goddammit"
