In the article they say Senator Graham warns about pushing through with health care and that the only reason President Obama is taking slight action is so that undocumented individuals don't break out in "full-scale revolt." The reason? The bill might not allow the undocumented population to "buy insurance through federal exchanges."

DREAM Act as a stand alone bill? I wish, but we really need to contact Senators for support. Senator Schumer has recently stated that “preserving consensus support for bipartisan immigration reform depends on taking it up as a comprehensive bill, and not breaking it up into pieces.”

Too bad Graham is the only Rep Behind this, as opposed to the Rep support Dream has already.

S.Aran i like your post, but the facts are the facts man. The reason health care is such a hail marry is because the democarates know it will get away from them and their end goal will never be achieved if they try another approach. Theyll end up in the red zone and have to settle for a field goal instead of a touchdown. CIR is the same way. Like everyone else in here piece meal solves ALL of my problems but it doesnt solve even a % point of immigrations problems. In order to to throw another hail marry which is what CIR is they need to butter up the votes. Dream, enforcement and other things do that. If they piece meal yeah many of us will end up happy, and a few of our friends and family members as well but CIR as a whole all 10-16 million affected, well they will sink with the ship if their isnt pieces that the GOP or conservative democrates can agree with come time for a full overhaul. U.S. jobs are looking grim and if we lose democarates then CIR will NEVER be a positive thing for any of us, it will be like RED DAWN (HAHA, well get hunted). What better for the GOP then to CRUSH the voter base that hinders its ideology securing its TEA-BAG movement votes along with fed-up Americans who are simply tired of working for change.

This brings us to a new problem:
This new argument being made that we will show the democrats how much of a vote we actually carry is wrong 2. Never bite the hand that feeds you, and never give up on the only person who has ever supported you. If anything we need to start planning for next year (sad i know man i swore id leave this January if nothing happened). A positive approach to our NEVER ENDING PROBLEM is again to rally all our support for democrats getting ready to LOSE all those precious seats. Again sad, I'm tired of supporting a political party of chickens its rather insulting to know they have so much popular power but are afraid to flex it. Somebody in here posted that the GOP is the "i wont party" dem are the "i cant party". Fact is we have to do whatever we can in order to give democrats an opportunity LATE NEXT YEAR to do something, and something big. Leaders of reform have already acknowledged this, they don't want to admit it. The march is great it gets the issues out in the open. We cant stop there, we like the dem have to promise our unwavering support to them in the next elections because their our only chance just as we are theirs.

The inevitable:
Nothing happens for the next 2 years . Obama runs again, he wins and finally we get a president with a spine who isn't afraid and isn't refraining for reelection purposes to say "YOU'R FIRED GET THE **** OUT". That will be a beautiful day. (I hope it doesn't come to this) I cant wait for that man to actually play his part and forces the hands of change instead of begging for the GOP to hold his hand and guide him through it.

Not to go off, not an attack on you S.Aran, love your posts, just the facts man and even worse the reality of our fates. Dream only sounds good as a stand alone now but when it gets shot down because "IT STEALS AMERICAN JOBS AND GRANTS AMNESTY BLAH BLAH THEIR ALL CRIMINALS!" banter starts man then well all be slapping our foreheads again because the Democrats wont fight they'll run cause they have to protect their seats.

I don't have any connection to these representative that actually get to talk to Obama and his reps but how about brokering peace. Give us piece meal we give you votes, then you give us real cir? I mean if you cant trust your government who can your trust (HAHA)

Just a perspective.

“I expressed, in no uncertain terms, my belief that immigration reform could come to a halt for the year if health care reconciliation goes forward,” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said in a statement issued just after he and Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) met with Obama.

Hey, why does this sound like : "Hey, if you drop the HC debate, the Republicans will give you CIR?"
