Every morning, Saad Nabeel wakes to the blank screen of his American cellphone and is reminded of his new reality. Five months ago, it never stopped flashing.

The 19-year-old grew up amid the text-message frenzy of Frisco teenagers – a Taco Bell aficionado and Taylor Swift fanatic who earned a scholarship to the University of Texas at Arlington, where he studied electrical engineering. Now his days are spent pleading for legal advice on Facebook and trying to stomach Dhaka, the chaotic, hazy capital of Bangladesh.

Deportation orders outweighed a newly available visa for his father, who had brought the family to the United States 16 years ago in search of political asylum. Now Nabeel is banned from the U.S. for a decade. And like thousands of children caught between their parents' legal status and their American upbringing, Nabeel is trapped in a homeland he's never known......

WoW... That dude was just here, he posted on the forums not too long ago. I'm sad to hear it's going really bad for him over there. But I hope these stories serve as a eye opener to the people with influence in America, like the "associate director of the Center for Human Rights and International Justice at Boston College" . Best of wishes to Saad though.

I would think it would be easier for him to come back since he does have a green card. The problem for him is that he has that ten year ban because he signed the deportation claim.
