Looks like the immigration debate is back.

First, it was the Arizona law that has spurred some California Democrats to call for a boycott of the state. Now, Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-Alpine) says the federal government should deport U.S.-born children of undocumented immigrants.

"Would you support deportation of natural-born American citizens that are the children of illegal aliens," Hunter was asked. "I would have to, yes," Hunter said. "... We simply cannot afford what we're doing right now," he said. "... It takes more than just walking across the border to become an American citizen. It's what's in our souls. ..."
Hunter made his comments at a "tea party" rally in the San Diego County city of Ramona over the weekend. You can see a video of his remarks below.

Isn't it funny that Republicans who always claim to love the U.S. Constitution are the ones that always try to violate it???? Or... do they love only when it involves their "rights and freedom", not others' rights and freedom?

So.... He wants to violate and throw away the U.S. Constitution by deporting those who were born here.

Yes, apparently the 14th Amendment doesn't matter any more. I wonder if Rep. Duncan thinks it would also be perfectly legitimate to strip him of his citizenship and send him back to whatever hole he and his illustrious ancestors crawled out of.
