It looks like the President and Arizona governor will be meeting sometime today.
Quote:
WASHINGTON, June 3 (UPI) -- President Barack Obama will meet Thursday with the governor of Arizona to discuss the state's controversial new immigration law, White House officials said.

Gov. Jan Brewer said she will tell Obama her state is "under siege" by drug cartels and illegal immigrants, The Arizona Republic reported.

Despite their disagreements about the law -- Obama called it "misguided" -- Brewer said she hoped she could convince the president that her state urgently needs more federal help to secure its border.

"We are the gateway to America for (cross-border) drug-trafficking, extortion, kidnapping and crime, and we in Arizona are no longer going to put up with it," Brewer said Wednesday. "People along the border are living in fear daily. I don't think the president really understands that."

The law, among other things, requires law enforcement personnel to ask for documentation from people they believe are in the country illegally. Obama has voiced concern the law could lead to civil-rights violations and Attorney General Eric Holder is considering whether to file a legal challenge.

In the evening, Obama will deliver remarks at a secretary of state's reception honoring the Indian delegation to the United States-India Strategic Dialogue, the White House said.

All he said was that we need to work on CIR with our legislators... nothing new.

True. SB1070 is under supreme court right now, so no point on Brewer sucking up to Mr. President. She's no Marilyn Monroe.

Marlin Monroe had class and was pretty. Brewer is an old dried hag. Pretty sure Obama wouldn't touch that even if he was to be paid millions.
