Sen. Dick Durbin (Ill.), the chamber’s second-ranking Democrat, has promised to push for a vote on the DREAM Act, which would give the children of illegal immigrants a chance to earn legal residence.
That bill would have much less chance of passing if Republicans controlled the House

I don't like this. Twenty bills in two months. Maybe 6 will actually pass, hopefully the Dream Act will be amongst them. It's much harder to turn around and say vote for the Dream Act when a Democrat senator wants to spend time on his bill, and the Republican wants to obstruct until the next Congress.

As soon as November 2nd comes around, it's time to double the effort on activism guys.

No need to wait until November 2. We've got to keep the heat on for the rest of the year.

It does because some of the Reps that voted no support the DA bill.

standalone has better chances of getting support from some republicans, but we don't know that it will get support from all democrats.
