Hey, guys. I just saw on the news that Obama was on the Piolin radio show.

I think it was today, as he made a promise that he would return to the radio station if he won the presidency.

Anyways, does anyone know what he talked about, other than the upcoming elections? Did you mention the DREAM Act in any shape or form?

Thanks.

Well i went on to the Piolin Website and clicked on the link with obama's picture. Not a Spanish speaker so I went to google translator and this is what I got:

Quote:
What would you ask Obama?

LOS ANGELES, California - As part of a campaign promise earlier this year, President Barack Obama invited Eddie "Piolin" Sotelo at the White House for the Speaker recognized the exclusive interview him in the presidential mansion in Washington.

This time is the U.S. leader who will travel to Los Angeles in the coming days to visit the home of "Tweety" to a meeting where two discussed the upcoming elections on November 2, immigration reform and other issues of interest to the community U.S. Hispanic.

The best: You can be part of this conversation, click here to send questions to President Obama or write a message through Piolínforo.

Then tune the program Piolin por la Mañana on Monday, October 25 to hear the entire exclusive interview with Obama Tweety.

A large community engagement

Feeling the great responsibility that represents this meeting with Obama, Tweety Univision.com confessed to that he was preparing for the presidential visit.

"We want to use the visit as possible, we are looking at all emails, text messages and calls of our people, to see what the best interest of our community," said radio host.

The visit of President Obama is done in the context of a campaign tour to support several Democratic candidates in California.

Without reference to the context around the current electoral presidential visit, Tweety emphasized his interest because the Hispanic community, legal or illegal in the United States has the opportunity to come into contact with the national president of the microphones through their program .

A broken promise?

This will be the third meeting between Obama and Tweety. However, it is the first time the former Illinois senator visited a radio station as president.

During the 2008 campaign, Obama appeared in studies of Piolin por la Manana, where among other things, pledged to push immigration reform if elected to the highest U.S. official.

"I will pass immigration reform," reiterated the then Democratic candidate said before being elected in microphones Tweety Show. The truth is, however, that Obama has been almost two years in office, and immigration reform has not been approved by Congress.

Given this premise Tweety, but did not deny their feelings of grief, said: "We have to keep fighting. In life, whether legal or illegal have to pass tests," said Piolin.

"The hardest thing is when you have no documents. But do not focus on the problem, because if you sink deeper, we must take a broader view," he added. "We must focus on what can be achieved if we continue with discipline and we can demonstrate our spirit of peaceful struggle."

Obama arrived in California to support members of his Democratic Party: The race for the state government has yet to Democrat Jerry Brown and Republican Meg Whitman in technical tie in the polls, while Democrat Barbara Boxer continues in the struggle to defend his seat in the Senate against an aggressive Republican campaign Carly Fiorina.

Both Republican and Democratic candidates need the Hispanic vote to ensure a victory next Tuesday, November 2, and Obama visit Tweety Show is a testament to the growing importance of Latino voters in the U.S..

Why the Tweety Show?

The social work of Eddy "Piolin" Sotelo has over eight years and transcends the boundaries of radio consoles. Since 2002, the Show Piolin por la Mañana joy and fun has led to the large Hispanic family in the United States from its microphone has led information campaigns, education and support to the community, particularly in immigration, citizenship and justice social.

Dial the undisputed leader and spokesman morning of the Hispanic community nationwide, the Show Piolin por la Mañana will make history again with the visit of President Obama.

Do not miss this meeting. Listen to the interview on October 25 at your local station or through the website of Tweety.
Seems the full interview did not air yet and will air on Monday Oct. 25.

Holy shit, why had I never thought of doing that before.... my mind's blown, even though I left when I was 7. as it turns out I still remember lots of stuff and so far I have been able to navigate myself through the places where I have been. its tripping me out sort of.

What's sad is that I use google maps for everything already and have used it to look to other places around the world, why it never crossed my mind to look at my home country is beyond me.
