I know this is probably nothing new but the article does mention a couple of good points:

1) on November 10 there was a conference call between Dems and Reps in which they both acknowledge the impact of the latino vote. and Dream Act and AgJobs were at the center of the discussion

2) Reid talk about not including the DA in the defense authorization bill during the lame duck also " BOTH PARTIES AGREED" that it had better chances of passing as a STAND ALONE.

The second point reinforces what reid promised another democrat, somewhere in the news room posted the link, that DA will not be included in the DAB.

To conclude, that means that dream act might be stand alone, which i think it is very good news since even mccain said that the DA has its own merits.

But read for yourselves!!!

here is the link that also signals DA might be stand alone.

Good Find, although the Republicans might flip flop again and again (Proven Fact). If you think about it, they'll never say no in front of immigration reform activists (no means 1 lesser vote in 2012) . But, if what they were saying is true then that was just an awesome news.

Though I admit that DA has better chance as a stand alone, we have a very short window of opportunity because a lot of issues will be considered in three weeks of the lame duck sessions.

Don't pay attention to him/her, everything that he/she types.

To the OP nice find, would only wish they would actually agree on DREAM Act and not bickering about it. If the Republicans want to defeat Obama in 2012 then they are going to need at least 40% of the Latino vote. The Hispanics that were elected to office are pretty much white washed Hispanics so i don't know if we can expect a vote from them, aside from that you have to remember that they are a product of the new face of the Republican party and the tea party movement. They maybe brown on the outside but they are white in the inside. Marco Rubio, well i don't know what to say about that guy, well just have to see what he does. The Republicans think that Latinos vote based on last name affiliation, when these past elections very well prove the opposite. Latinos vote on who they believe will get things done for them.

The comments on that article are ludicrous...

Hopefully those are the minority, and the majority support our cause.
