Fact is fact. However, if and only if Obama uses compromise on taxes as a bait to pass DA, DADT, START TREATY, Defense budget etc as an added package.

As much as I wan to see it pass I don't see passing. Its obvious that this country still has a racism issue.

No, it's too late now, it's Dream Act first or never.
There are a lot of procedures getting the freaking bill to Obama's desk.

First the House needs to pass.
Reid then needs wrestle some Republican votes in the Senate.
Keep in the mind the House and the Senate are two different versions of DA.

If (a big if) it passes both house, it will be sent to a committee to fix the differences (who knows how long this will take).

We're looking at at least 3 weeks of debating and Republicans bitching.

Imagine all of that except with the tax cuts going first, which is even more divisive. It will take up more time because the Dems will bitch, the Republicans will bitch. It will chew up more time than the Dream Act needs to pass.

Reid can't back down now, compromise only on the Dream Act, not with other legislations.

Well, no country is perfect even though everyone wants to still come to USA for opportunities.

One huge difference is the age. House has no age cap. Might as well bring it back to 35 to be fair to everyone.

Well... Now that we a a wall of brain dead republicans to go through its safe to say that it has gone from a 58% chance o a 10% chance.

Now because the house is voting first this may help us get momentum to break through that barrier. Now... saying this speculates that it gets through the house, and if the they push it clean through we may have a fighting chance in the senate.
