She is trying to get a netroots nation scholarship, here is the information regarding that scholarship

http://www.democracyforamerica.com/n...n_scholarships

"Democracy for America and America's Voice have teamed up to provide financial assistance to deserving applicants attending this year's Netroots Nation, a conference dedicated to providing progressive activists and candidates for office a forum to strengthen the online community and grow the progressive movement."

The top three that get the most support will get the scholarship and a forum to strengthen awareness for what they support. You can add your support to Gaby Pacheco by going to the following link and clicking the "add your support" red button

what I find interesting is that a lot of the people in the front page are actually dreamers, there is grecia the organizer, prerna lal, rosaATX, and JuanSaaa.

Prerna Lal I have heard from in DreamActivist and I have quoted her for information regarding the version of the bill that came up during the lame duck session several days before it was introduced, she has also been considerably active in Change.org.

the others I have not heard from, and of course there is Gaby Pacheco, which everyone here probably knows and has been appearing all over the place.

There is no lack of strong potential in the dreamer community.

The vote has ended for the first round, and Gaby was one of the winners.

in fact I found it interesting that 5 out of the 20 people that got the scholarship are dreamers, just goes to show the activist community that is awakening within the dreamers. Lets now try to get Prerna Lal up there, if you are not aware her work has been largely cited, she is a Change.org member and dreamer whose surpassed 100k votes on issues that she has brought up, and during the lame duck session when there was a bunch of confusion about what changes where being proposed for the yet unofficially version, it was her post the first one that I saw anywhere on the internet actually detailing the significance of the changes being proposed, largely cited in many online communities. And her work has been cited by politicians, it should be interesting what she can do with a forum to speak on, she has been mostly an online activists.

And it was her post that was quoted on this website actually several days before it came out anywhere... I still don't know how she got wind of what changes where coming so early.

She walked from Miami, Fl to DC to bring awareness to the DREAM Act along with some other people who also became integral pieces of the DREAM Act movement.
