The NJ Chapter of ADT is wholly committed to the fight to recognize the rights of undocumented youths in this state and across the country. Just last week, two brave senators in New York introduced a bill called the New York Dream Act, a bill that will provide undocumented students with the ability to obtain driving privileges, access to health care, work authorizations, and funds for higher education. If it is passed, n...ot only will this bill finally recognize the rights of this long suffering group, but it will also prove greatly beneficial to the State of New York. It is our firm belief that New Jersey needs to enact similar legislation, both as a measure that will benefit the State, especially given its current budget crisis, but more importantly one that will finally assert as undeniable the rights of these people who have been left in a terrible limbo for far too long.
