Hey people,
Colleges have gotten back to me about decisions and financial aid. I got accepted with full scholarships to 6 schools (mostly Ivy League colleges), rejected by 5 (mostly Liberal Arts colleges), and waitlisted at 2. I collected lots of info like which schools consider us same as citizens in terms of financial aid, what resources they have to help us with citizenship or making traveling easier (special ID to fly), and which schools we have the best chances for admission and aid.
I would like to share my knowledge however, I do not know if there are any other guides already out there. I was wondering if you guys wanted me to do this so we can spread it around on the web and to high schools and stuff so that undocumented youth get inspired to try harder in school knowing that their hard work will pay off.
Also, I was thinking that others that have been through different routes like community college transferring or graduate school admissions can also contribute by showing us how its done. I haven't been through these situations so im unsure how stuff goes but i know someone out there has been through it. Maybe it can be added under resources or something. What do you think?

I would like to hear more.
Perhaps, PM me?

I graduated HS in June of 09 but havent been able to go to college. I'm however, very hopeful that I'll be getting a job pretty soon and will be able to pay for school. I would like to know everything I need to know before I take that step. Thanks!

With high school coming to an end this year for me a guide of this sort would come in great use for me as I have no clue on where/how/who to look for to even begin such an arduous journey that lays ahead. God speed.

That is awesome!!! Post it in the Lounge with a clear subject header. I'm sure it will interest a lot of people.

I'll do my part in helping to spread the word.

These are the kinds of posts I like to see

Are any of those schools in Illinois?
