Rep. Lamar Smith has already said that it is very "unlikely" that Obama will be able to succeed on immigration during the remainder of his term. What sort of politician is this guy? A condescending coward one if you ask me. Before the conversation even begins, he has already put us down as failures. And we are still fighting the good fight. Guys, I just want to ask one thing from all of you. Don't start cursing at the President after what he says today. I've done this in the past but have come to realize that you need two wings to fly. Obama can't pass CIR by himself and neither can the Democrats. If DA/CIR is to pass, the following Republicans will ALL have to come on board: McCain, Graham, Kyl, McConnell, Boehner, Lamar Smith.

Whatever happened to down payments? Why must we wait until he is re-elected?

Dude...I hate to say this but I suspect he's trying to piss off Republicans so that they don't commit to CIR and as a result they won't win any hispanic votes which means Obama will get them all.
