Wait, wasn't Arpaio's group involved in a different controversy over gross mismanagement of money to the tune of almost 100 million some time ago where they were calling him either corrupt or seriously incompetent?

There was also that in-office joke involving immigrants that was considered considerably racists...

Sheriff Joe was the hardass on immigrants, he was behind the whole AZ immigration law thing, well backing it should I say. Do you see the irony here? Under his management they busted 3 cops for drug dealing.

I think some of his other high in command officers where also busted for corruption a while back, then the gross mismanagement of funds, the inside racist jokes and now this.

I am hoping this guy become for the immigration debate what Rick Scott has become for the republican party, a person whose supportive presence in an election for a particular candidate is the equivalent of political suicide.

It does, it has just been a progression of incidences over an extended period of several months, but this stuff has appeared on the national news.

What I wonder is why the guy is still the Sheriff of Maricopa county after he is causing so much havoc towards the reputation and integrity of sheriffs everywhere. You'd think he'd be fired after mismanagement of a hefty sum of tax-payers money... but stuff just keeps on popping up about him.
