I went down to Florida and met with Jeb Bush six, seven months ago, laid out what I thought would be a complete plan to deal with permanent immigration policies with regards to our legal system to simplify it. No. 2, how to deal with those who are here illegally today. And then No. 3, how to secure the border. And every piece of advice I've received from people who talk about this topic say get the first job done first, because if you talk about the other jobs you get highly confused with whether you are going to create incentives for people to come here illegally to take advantage of whatever program you might describe.

If Mitt Romney thinks Gingrich's shitty deal is 'amnesty', do you guys seriously think that any part of that article- more importantly this bit: "No. 2, how to deal with those who are here illegally today" - indicates any possibility of an illegal alien from receiving legal status? He is being extremely ambiguous here and his words can mean anything depending of which side you're on.

You could be right. But, given the fact that he says he has considered advice from Graham and Jeb Bush (leaders that support some form of CIR under certaian conditions) and has developed a plan that he isn't ready to make public, it seems to indicate that he will flip-flop.

I would be careful of any Republican that claims he has a secret plan to deal with immigration. Pretty soon they will be saying their secret plan is the "Final Solution" to the immigration problem.
