In this article, Tom Tancredo, thankfully no longer a congressman, states his opposition to Marco Rubio's DREAM Act, and in essence any form of DREAM Act bill, whether it be from Republicans or Democrats.

His reasoning boils down to this:
In other words, his reasoning is like that of so many mindless Republican congressmen and women: The DREAM Act is amnesty; potential beneficiaries can seek no relief in the U.S. for they would be accused of jumping the "line".

All the while he claims
which translates into "you're shit out of luck."

Another immigrant extremist. They are like cockroaches.....they keep coming out.

This should unequivocably prove that passage of ANY form of DREAM Act is impossible unless done so through executive order or total filibuster proof majorities by the Democrats in both houses of congress.

Such scenarios are NEVER going to happen.

Rubio's bill is purely political pandering. It is an attempt to soften his image in the light of the stupid hispanic and minority electorate and steal votes for his party this November. He has absolutely no intention of seeing his version of the DREAM Act pass. He merely wants to bolster his party's image and gain some credibility on the political stage.
YUP , thats the problem these politcians ( republicans or democrats) they dont play checkers they play chess, them and their 6 years in the senate 2 in the house they have all the time in the world to position themselves for 2, 3, 4, years into the future, but us, we get fucked the whole way and we're only getting older, i feel by the time the DREAM act or any major immigration legislation passes America won't even be worth living in, just something to think about.

As if the past three years of immigrant/Hispanic scapegoating hasn't happened? It's laughable. But, this is the why the Democrats should call their bluff. Put it up for a vote and get them ALL on record voting against even a Republican "compromise".

At this point it's hard to really come down to a final conclusion. In the end anything can happen, but should we bet on Rubio's DA passing ? No of course not, we'll just really have to wait and see as these events unfold themselves, to get a better reality check in the future to come.
