Harry Reid puts nuclear option in back pocket

So for all of you dreamers that are frustrated with the 60 vote threshold in the 100 member Senate, this is GREAT news!

We won't need to have the watered down Rubio proposal if we reform the Senate rules.

Also, we need to start pushing Senators to move to this filibuster reform that killed the DREAM Act in 2010.

We would be working legally by now if it had not been for the filibuster and the abuse of it.

Democrats must get smart.

And so should we!

The House is still a problem...

Not to be a dick but if this reform passes then next time around the bill will be just shy of passing with the new threshold. It was a calculated failure on the democrats part and it has now come back to sort of bite them in the ass. Basically were Pawns in a game of Chess. You lose us not such a big deal.

Your exactly right. People need to understand that there is nothing in this world that happens organically. Everything and absolutely everything is entirely controlled and predetermined by people that have insurmountable power. Once you understand this you will understand why so many "disasters" happen in our "unpredictable" lives.

DA is bound to pass before fall semesters with at least 60 votes.

My predictions are 65 Yes in the Senate. I have over 11 years of experience stuyding the Dream Act.

If Rubio actually comes up with a bill, and the leadership, Sen. Harry Reid, decides to bring it up, then it will pass, barely!

I would say 60 or 61 but not 65.

It will automatically die in the House. We all know that.

So what matters is what happens in the elections. If Democrats take back the House, and hold the Senate, I dare say it would pass if Democrats made some changes to the filibuster.

You are not caught in the hype like the others. I am glad that you understand this bill will not pass. Moreover, some Democrats will oppose it since it doesn't have a pathway to citizenship.
