Being annoyed and embarrassed, these GOP Senate leaders wrote a letter to President Obama yesterday. As this reporter wrote earlier, the immigration relief of "Deferred Action" is nothing new and aged-old immigration practice of the federal government for decades. Constitutionality of such relief, if at all, should have been raised decades back. The Senators should rather have raised the issue of effectiveness and vulnerability of this relief in the context of a relief for DREAMERS for lack of legal protection in that the DREAMERS will have to remain in "out of status" during the period of deferred prosecutorial action of immigration law enforcement and lift of the relief on whatever legal or political grounds will expose them to removal from the country in the future. Due to such vulnerability, there is a question of effectiveness of the deferred action to bring the DREAMERS out of the closet. Community leaders and lawyers are already cautioning the DREAMERS who have yet to come out of the closet to seek legal counsel before they come out of the closet because of the inherent flaws with the deferred action relief.

For the Actual Letter, See the Attached PDF.

This is GOP on the brink! The tables are SLOWLY turning but they are turning. That's for sure. Obama has stolen the show here and the Repubes are scrambling to get themselves together. Rubio has proven to be a pure scam artist and Romney is being exposed as a true beggar. Sessions has gone into hiding after Obama's announcement. Never thought I'd see the day we'd get ANY sort of right with the great Sessions in command. This alone is historic.

If Grassley and those other loosers that signed that document had done their jobs, the Dream Act would've passed in Dec. 2010, now that Pres. Obama has done something about it, they're challenging his actions with this STUPID and RIDICULOUS letter? The American voters need to take note of those that signed that letter and vote them out if they are their constituents just based on this useless letter. That letter should have read that Grassley and his buddies are willing to work with the President on the Dream Act, not challenging him when he tried to correct a wrong, what a CLASSLESS bunch!

Also, I don't know why some 'community leaders & lawyers' are trying to scare people, if we opt out of signing up for this process, we'd most likely remain Undocumented with no legal right to work, drive in most states, and so on...at least with this process, even though our Overstay/unauthorized presence won't be forgiven, at least we won't be accruing any additional unauthorized presence, we'd still be Undocumented but at least we'd have the legal right to work here, drive, and so on.

It's better than the alternative which we've been living through-- nothing!

should we be concern about this? will those mentally challenged GOP really sue this memo? if that does happen will court issue injunction to temporarily block the new policy? what are the chances that the court will rule in favor of this new policy?

He should respond with:
Answers to most questions can found on USCIS website and can be asked on their hotline.

Or just deposit it into the suggestion box:

Politics will be politics. Take action. Let your voice be heard, or become diluted, and fractured by reckless direction.
