Young undocumented immigrants who receive work permits through President Barack Obama's deferred-action program will be eligible to pay lower in-state tuition, Maricopa Community Colleges officials said Wednesday.
Excellent news for those AZ Dreamers whom just finish HS or need to finish up their Associate Degrees. Hopefully the 3 state universities will follow as well.

I'm shocked as well. Well thank goodness there are still some people in Arizona that have a heart.

She'll issue another executive order banning that.

Not surprising some with Deferred action will be eligible for In-state tuition dependent on the college, but very surprising in Maricopa county.

This is more of an economical move since more than 8,000 undocumented dropped out when prop 300 was passed in 2007. Now they're estimating that about 80,000 from AZ would qualify from DACA. In other words, that's a lot of money they're NOT going to get if they don't charge in-state tuition.

Also, one of the purpose of this is to have a higher-educated workforce, with about 80,000 DACA applicants being able to join it. I'm almost holding my breath waiting for community-college-graduate Brewer to block this.
Let's hope not.
