Boehner offered optimism that his party could come to an agreement with Obama on immigration, a subject that has hurt the GOP with Hispanic voters.
"This issue has been around far too long," Boehner said in the ABC interview. "A comprehensive approach is long overdue, and I'm confident that the president, myself, others can find the common ground to take care of this issue once and for all."
Sen. Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.), chairman of the Senate Immigration, Refugees and Border Security Subcommittee, called Boehner's comments a "breakthrough."
"Democrats in the Senate look forward to working with him to come up with a bipartisan solution,” Schumer said in a statement

This is great. Finally, they are willing to come to common grounds. I feel good about next year.

I'm telling you guys and naysayers. Something will happen in the next two years. Even if they try to forge a bill or two but fail to pass, it's a HUGE breakthrough for the GOP House.

The amount of political capital and momentum the Democrats have since Tuesday is pretty hefty.

Obama takes on Jan 20th. Have you read the recent articles. It is a very high priority.

Just seems a little too soon, but I do think the DREAM Act at least will pass within the next 2 years.

Soon? Really? The last one was 1986. It is about time.

I think DA will be attached to CIR like it was before.
