I think that it would be very wise to come up with a plan for the house while we still focus on getting more cosponosers in the senate because after all doesnt the bill have to get "enrolled"( I have been doing my HW lol) b4 it even reaches the president? We dont have much time to do this we have to act now!!!!

I have no clue other than attach our individual persona to local groups who have more power and know how to get to the Congress people. Are you from L.A.? Someone posted a list of organizations that were in favor of the Dream Act. It is very different to be in a small, local organization than to belong to the DAP. They are a little bit slower but tend to get a long lasting effect. My goal is to make my congressman back off. He is completely against Dream Act and he freely uses the term anchor baby. If he cannot support the Dream act, he can shut his pie hole. Thus, that is my goal.

Still, if you have an idea you can tell us, there is no such thing as a bad idea. Some times the craziest idea is the most effective.

Some immigrant groups think that it is a good idea to call past co-sponsors & current sponsors to increase our co-sponsor count. It is currently believed that 100 or more Representatives under Dream act in the House would be enough to get it through the chamber.I'll see if I can compile a list of past co-sponsors over the weekend when my schedule is less hectic.

In my opinion we should do our best to work on the house representation within our own states. They respon better to peole within their districts. So we should secure the house members within our districts. In Florida we already have Ros-lehtinen, the diaz-balart brothers and meek. From there you try to expand it throughout the state.

No im from NY

That would be great Ianus!

I was thinking something along the line of what jaun said idk maybe its lame but its all i got for now,
I went on the house website and i noticed that the top 6 state that have the most rep are CAlifornia 53, Florida 25, Illnois 19, New York 29, Pennslyvania an texas 32. i also noticed that we have i believe over 600 dap members when i went through the memberlist these are the 6 states that most of us are from.

So i was thinking since there are 435 congressman it would very difficult for us to try to contact each and every one of them. i think that we should focus on our states. I was thinking that maybe we could send them emails like lutier did about our accomplishments even through our obstacles and we could call our own congressman...and anybody body else from any of other state can also do the same.. i know its small and we wouldnt actually be contacting many congressman but i figure we have to start somewhere idk tell me what u guys think.
