I just made this myspace http://www.myspace.com/dreamactyes

Any critiques would be appreciated. I'm about to add some friend bots to add a ton of friends.

If you are a myspace "friend" on any candidate or other group sites you might want to post comments about DREAM - I did that on the Moveon site a few days ago , you can also ask to be "friends" to any of the big ones and see if they'll post your comment - some won't, and some get so many that yours won't appear for long - but it can get a little notice by lots of people.

I would personally leave out the "Immigration Reform!" part in the title and the such, as when people see that they have an immediate gut reaction of thinking of it as amnesty. If you leave it off however, it is still implied but the reader will be FORCED to actually read the bill to see what it is REALLY about. Leaves a much less chance of making an uninformed decision.

Mostly they ignore it, or there are posers who come on and spam the sites with conservative propoganda. I think now that the big unions are endorsing DREAM it is a plus - I think that was a big drawback with the other legislation. Truthfully one of the most eye opening and discouraging things to me has been how much liberal apathy there has been to this. You have this huge group of people who are really becoming a generational underclass - and it is just completely ignored. And it is weird that the conservatives aren't all over trying to recruit these kids to their side. I mean if you want to use stereotypes - they should be all about getting Latinos - pro-church, pro-life, "traditional" marriage, patriarchial, etc. etc. (I'm not saying that is a universal truth, I'm saying that's the stereotype). I just seriously don't get what anyones problem is with this. Maybe the poor rednecks who feel threatened by everything and everyone - but what about the more educated people on either side of the political spectrum - how can they not see, at least, the DREAM type issue as hugely compelling ?

It really pisses me off that MoveOn hasn't taken this on. I did another MySpace comment on their site, no responses I've seen so far.

Okay I'll stop ranting now - this is what happens when I get up at 5 in the morning and can't fall back to sleep !
