House Republicans next week will pick up where they left off in July, with a slate of oversight hearings on issues ranging from healthcare to immigration. On Tuesday a subcommittee of the House Energy & Commerce Committee meets for a healthcare law "pulse check." On Wednesday, a subcommittee of the House Homeland Security Committee will examine the threat to Americans' personal information posed by the health exchange data hub. On immigration, another Homeland Security subcommittee will examine efforts to implement biometric exit systems at the U.S. border. The Veterans' Affairs Committee meets Monday to examine patient safety issues and bonuses for Veterans Affairs officials. That field hearing will be held in Pittsburgh, Pa.
