Hi guys, i'm flying after a very long time. I'm heading to Vegas from LaGuardia NY and I have a connecting flight in Houston IAH. I know I should be fine, but I'm still a little paranoid. I'll have my learners permit & EAD just in case. I still have a final order under my name, but I was granted Deferred Action.

Anyone have any experience at IAH? For a connecting flight will I have to show ID again?

Also, Anyone ever fly United? How'd you like it?

I know I shouldn't even sweat this, but I can't help it. lol.

Wrong section, but IAH will not give you any trouble as it is far from the border. And no, when you change planes, you're in a secure area and don't leave it so no need to show ID.

I don't know about United, but I remember Continental being pretty good and knew a few of their flight attendants (they tend to be on the naughty side let's just say). They were not thrilled about the merger with United but overall, it's a respected airline...I think you gotta pay for bags though. So no worries and go fly the friendly skies.

I flew to Vegas before from Philly and had a 4 hour layover at Dallas ft worth. I went roaming around the stores and had no problems. You should be fine. You don't need to show your if or go through security again when you have a connection you just hang out in the area they put you in until it's time to board the next plane

We flew recently from JFK NYC to Austin. No problems whatsoever. Except for passport or DL nobody ever asks you for anything. No need to worry!

That was the first Airport in the US that we arrived at in the 80's. Their immigration officers were very nice when they detained us. Got my 10 year old self milk and cookies and even managed to find a flight attendant who spoke our language to tell us we were in the US (to our surprise) and also we were screwed. Good times! Actually, I have many memories of that airport...some better.
