yeah sadly we probably will

"Mary Anne Wiley, Perry's general counsel, predicted Perry ultimately will be cleared of the charges against him — abuse of official capacity and coercion of a public servant."

Chances are once it moves out of Travis County, he will win on appeal (like Tom Delay did) but I hope the charges stick. He is responsible for taking driver's licenses away from people like me and it brought a lot of distress to my already distressed life. Can't wait to see his mugshot photo.

For all the bad he's done, he's also done some good.

I, for example, have benefited from his approval of the in-state tuition for everyone that meets certain criteria legislation.

Although he has gone off the deep end into crazy the last few years.

Honestly, I believe you are ignorant. If it wasent bc of Rick Perry, undocumented students in Texas would of not been able to attend college. He is the reason thousands of students in Texas were able to enroll in college, PAY IN-STATE tuition AND get state financial aid. I really think Democrats are playing games. Ronald Reagan/Rick Perry, both GOP have helped the undocumented.

Let's see who's ignorant.
He did that before running for president and got in trouble for it so I doubt he would ever do that again. Since then, he went out of his way to demonize undocumented immigrants. When he was going up against Bill White, the Houston Mayor who had asked the police to not check for immigration status of people on the street without an arrest, Rick Perry ran ads showing a police widow whose husband was killed by an illegal and blaming Bill White's "Sanctuary City" policy.

In 2010, he ordered the DPS (in charge of issuing driver's licenses) to ask for proof of citizenship for driver's licenses AND renewals. Anybody whose visa was going to expire within 6 months would be denied all together. Anybody who already had a license would have to show up in person to renew. Many legal immigrants also were denied and there was a lawsuit against him because many felt this was something the legislature could do.

Because of that, in 2011, he held the legislature for an emergency session so they could pass the law requiring the DPS to check immigration status and with that sealing the fate of many immigrants who already had driver's licenses and were driving safely on the road. I bet many of those were also college students who all of a sudden were left with no valid ID's. After graduating from college, what good is their little student ID?

So yea, Ricky did something right by accident, but he did a lot worse things to us. Has he defended CIR in any shape or form? No. You can praise Rick Perry because of what Obama did with DACA. Without DACA, I bet you'd be singing a different tune about Rick Perry. How would you get to school? How would you fly?

http://www.chron.com/news/houston-te...ip-2078990.php Make no mistake: Perry was behind all of this because that was the year he was becoming the GOP front runner and what better way to do it than show how mean he could be to those evil illegals.
