"It’s official.

After a months-long buildup, Hillary Rodham Clinton announced Sunday she’s running for president again, and this time promises things will be different. Welcome to Clinton 2.0.

The former secretary of state, senator, and first lady declared in a video posted to her new website Sunday afternoon, “I’m getting ready to do something too – I’m running for president.”

The 2 minute and 18 second video features a wide range of everyday Americans, from a small businessman to a immigrant speaking Spanish, telling the camera they’re getting ready for something: Home improvements, moving, home repairs, Kindergarten.

“When families are strong, America is strong. Americans have fought their way back from bad economic times, but he deck is still stacked in favor of those at the top,” Clinton says to the camera.

“I’m hitting the road to earn your vote. Americans need a champion and I want to be you’re champion. It’s your time.”

Clinton will put the challenges facing the middle class front and center in this campaign, aides say, and will focus on restoring economic security. She’ll present 2016 as a choice election, rather a referendum on the current president, Barack Obama, whom aides say she will continue to embrace despite his middling popularity."

Also, if you are looking to volunteer head over to https://www.hillaryclinton.com/volunteer/ to sign up!

According to the FEC, "Can I volunteer for a campaign committee if I am not a U.S. citizen?
Even though a foreign national cannot make campaign contributions or expenditures (including advances of personal funds), he or she can serve as an uncompensated volunteer for a campaign or political party. However, the individual may not serve in a decision-making capacity within the committee. For example, a foreign national is allowed to attend campaign strategy meetings and events, but may not be involved in the management of the committee. AOs 2007-22 [PDF], 2004-26 [PDF] and 1987-25 [PDF]."

So please, help us win this election!

It seems like a no brainer for DACA/DAPA continuation.

You gotta be kidding me, a DACA recipient whose first thought is how to get more free immigrant labor. Wow.

Her announcement video showed hints of what she's going to be standing for: women, college students, minorities/Hispanics, working class, and the LGBT community. But until we get her actual positions on issues, it's hard to get excited.

Right now, she's looking like a lesser-of-two-evils candidate, and that's only because the alternatives are either: 1) a Republican president who might answer to the extremist right or 2) a politically weaker Democratic candidate. I hope the other Democratic options at least put up a good primary fight to push her a little bit more to the left. As it is, I get the feeling that she's a bit more center-right than Obama.

You mean these so called "volunteers" don't get paid?? When did they start that?!? That's how all campaigns work.

After all the hell Republicans have put us through, do you seriously think there would be any Republican who would be better than her? Do you seriously think there would be any Democrat with a better chance of getting elected than her? This isn't a fantasy world where we get to pick the most liberal candidate who will do everything we want him/her to do for us. She has to be very careful what she says or else in the general election she would lose if she's too liberal.

After Barry's terms, the only Democrat who can run and win is Hillary, let's face it, Barry is grossly unpopular, not as bad as Bush, but still.

Issue with republicans is that those retards simply DO NOT LEARN. They run an extremist, after an extremist and act surprised when they lose. If it wasn't for their god damn gerrymandering they would've never grabbed the house. Any state the dems manage to capture on the state level should undergo immediate redistricting without waiting until the next census.

At least we know that Hillary is extremely pro-immigrant. Unlike Obama who paid us lip service for about 8 years while doing every god damn thing aside immigration.

Uh, that's basically what I said?

I'm not denying that she has the best chance of being a Democratic president. I'm just lamenting the fact that the state of US politics is such that there are no better and realistic alternatives than another Bush/Clinton.

You're saying it like the politics haven't always been absolute garbage.

Really, @IamAman??

Quite clearly we all know what "volunteer" work entails; the point of my post is that most undocumented individuals are undercompensated for their productivity and labor, and gee, as soon as one can have the protection of work authorization, let me think, how can I give more free labor?

Even better, how can I give valuable free labor to millionaire politicians? Give me a break.

Having said that, I was for HC, not BO. As was the rest of my family, extended family, friends and most colleagues. BO turned out to be a huge disappointment, and I have to acknowledge that had Hillary won, CIR would have been enacted by now.

Hillary Clinton was undermined by sexism and betrayed by her own party. And as a mother and grandmother, I doubt her administration would incarcerate mothers and children seeking asylum and safety, as opposed to what is currently happening with family detention.
