Hello, I could be posting on the wrong place, but anyways.
I was just wondering. How it comes CNN (The US main news website to my knowledge)
is not headline posting anything related to today's executive action court happenings, like I know they are not missing it, it is there somewhere hidden in their website.
My point is, IS WHATEVER HAPPENING WITH US, not important news to the country?
am I missing something?? or could something else be preventing this from making the news?? OR AM I ASKING A STooPID QUESTION??

ANY RELATED COMMENTS WILL BE APPRECIATED.

Yep, this is in the wrong place. And yea, whatever is happening with us is not important.

It is not stupid but something that most of us take for granted although it does deserve some debate.
It is not important for most people. Then again, some of the most important issues are always relegated to the last corner on the back. However if the hold or the lawsuit is won by the government, it will probably make the headlines because it is important and something actually happened as opposed to the steps to getting there.

However, the news is being covered by the groups that care. That is, Telemundo is covering this event because their core viewers care deeply about the issue. All the groups that are deeply in favor or deeply against are covering the event because it is very important to them.

On this issue, some members of this site think this is something positive. It means this can fly under the radar without creating any fear frenzy from concerned citizens who are ignorant about the issues and are easily pandered by hate groups. Remember their arguments are simple and easy to understand. Our arguments are complex and required looking at the issue with a more critical eye. Undocumented immigrants are invisible because we go to work and college and out and no one is the wiser about our immigrant status.
On the other hand, some people believe this is a flaw. It means that our group that is an important part of our communities is not known or recognized by the community at large. Yea, we commit a crime but it does not define us as human beings and it does not take away our contributions to this country. The more invisible we are, the easier it is to lie about us and make us look really bad.

So, this are very important news for this country but they will not show them because it is hard to explain and most ppl don't give a damn. Don't worry once this thing passes or fails, it will become a headline. Still, it is important for you and that is what counts in the end. Also, this is a very long post and I am not going to check whether it makes sense or not. So, sorry if it doesn't. Take Care.

We're just a small group of lawbreakers. It's only when one of us screws up that it becomes main news. How do you not know this?

Yeah...this is when people think their situation is more important than the entire USA population.

It doesn't really concerned the rest of the country until one of us kills or rapes a usc

Well, the way I see it, there are no stupid questions. Sometimes, what seems like common sense is not that common or nonsensical for that matter. Neither do I think this jr member is so arrogant as to think he/she is the center of the world, the same I don't see any reply as a subtle from a senior member.

Common sense dictates that undocumented immigrants are a burden and lawbreakers and so and so but we are here to go beyond what is superficial because, you know, we are enlighten. Don't prove me wrong.

As for this witch hunt we are enduring. Yea, but this has been since forever. Still, I don't watch Fox News or CNN or even Univision for that matter. I hear NPR which has been pretty fair and balanced. They don't always say what I want to hear but they put an argument. I read the Economist and the New York Times and those are even more forgiving than NPR.

Granted, most ppl watch the news but (don't make me say it). Well, I think TV news and a couple of newspapers are entertainment dress up as information. Of course the illegal burning the white house is way sexier than hearing 140 min. of oral arguments for doing something about something that is about this court case and that one what is related but not pertaining to the actual case. Who wants to hear that?
What is the state of the media have to do with us? Well, plenty because if most news are only fluff this case which is substance is going to be ignore.

The executive actions are important because if they are not, then this forum and this case is a waste of time and money. And it is not. Because we getting a delayed deportation and a work permit is important for ourselves and for the country.

I do have an understanding of why this is not news and it is pretty much all of your answers together what my thoughts where, although I did think someone would post a whole conspiracy movie story, like "ohhh it's because the richest people in America are Republicans, and by the way they own the news blah blah blah.". Buuut it didn't happen. So thanks guys. If wouldn't had posted this on this location am sure I would only have the response of 1 you if I didn't .

Well honestly it's out of frustration that I come here. I'd much rather be living my life normally and not knowing this site exists, but here I am.

By the way, the US doesn't really have a major news source per se since news organizations are mostly for profit companies and their revenues depend on advertising dollars. That along with not being enough news to fill a 24 hour programming cycle has lead to entertainment getting mixed up with the news and Fox "News" has made a fortune off that thanks to people who can't tell the difference.
