So the election is on November 8, 2016

Most of daca's expires on August - October, is that mean we are safe to renew for 2 years?

Lol you should be more concerned about April to June at the moment.

But anyway, if all goes well, renewal should be good to go this year.

They could send an order to cancel all DACA permits. Republicans are evil

What's gonna happen on April to June?

Man the dapa was a good plan and all but I think it pushed the limit and now they contested it and now we might lose daca

Texas vs the USA (Obama) it's happening in the Supreme Court. They will rule if Obama can in fact do that

How about cancel dapa and just continue daca? Texas only made a fuss about it when Obama introduced the dapa and the expansion daca. 2 years working permit is fine. I'm graduating this spring as an RN

it doesn't work like that, if SC finds DAPA/eDACA violates the constitution, the so does DACA by nature. Many law experts have said if SC doesnt go our favor, as soon they can, republicans will go after DACA.

Its either a win for us or nothing

I was not aware that a decision on DAPA/eDACA could affect current DACA status. I hope the DACA program continues.

You were not aware because you don't understand or don't know exactly the case.

Here's example

SJ finds out same sex marriages illegal

" oh good well we are gay so and are already married so it doesn't affect us"

That Texas judge could have easily halted original DACA but he didn't maybe he had compassion whatever he reason was. Here comes eDACA DAPA oh snap this is way too far better stop and question the constitution allowance of it. Is the president breaking any laws doing this?

The case is finding out if the president is following the law regarding this. They're not saying he as president can't do this no remember he never did an executive order. It was a memo by uscis he just signed but now Texas wants to know if he lawfully is following all constitutional procedures regarding eDACA/DAPA. Now if you understand how DACA works then yes Obama is following every single law they're not just handing out work cards left and right and to anyone who asks for it. You have DACA you know you didn't just gave someone a call and asked for it. Now eDACA/DAPA technically is still DACA but with added terms. It will follow the same exact rulings as DACA at least the core principles just updated to accept a wider range of people. It would be a domino effect really if we lose this court case. The same judge can halt original DACA challenge it at the Surpreme court or not and just based he decisions on the same court case that ruled eDACA/DAPA is violating the constitution
