Of course there is panic. The perfect storm is happening.

Strategically, if the Republicans tie in the election, the vice president becomes the tie vote which would give majority to the Democrats. A Democrat Senate would allow for a more liberal justice or the current one chosen by the President. The result, a rehearing of the case potentially with a liberal justice. EDACA and DAPA could be coming back. Provided Clinton wins, of course.

Simply put, the Congress is unable to legislate unless it benefits them...not you.

The perfect storm refers to administrative relief gaining a second bout, not permanent legislation at this point. The votes simply aren't there at this point and likely not after the election in both the House and Senate.

House in gerrymandered up the ass. We'd either need to wait until 2020 and have democrats capture majority of state legislatures, or have them capture it now, say fuck it to tradition and use 2003 Texas redistricting to redraw all the lines.

OK

Securing DACA for the next 8 years sounds pretty good. Republicans are likely to capture less votes thanks to naked trump's non-sense

I think House will be majority Dems.

So basically we need 59 Dems in Senate right? 60th would be the tie breaker from VP.

Of course. Because for all of Obama pontificating on the issue he did not push it in his first term. If Democrats regain the House hopefully Hillary will actually get it done instead of paying lip service just to get elected.
