What About Work Authorizations?
It is unknown how the Trump administration will handle work authorizations issued under DACA.

“I believe that if DACA were terminated, the employment authorization documents would remain valid until the expiration dates on the cards,” Leopold said. “However, there is a regulation that provides that employment authorization may be terminated when the conditions under which it was granted change. So DACA would have to be terminated with explicit termination of employment authorization.”

So What Should DACA Recipients Do?

Immigration groups like the National Immigration Law Center recommend not applying for DACA status if you do not already have it. If you are a DACA recipient, the government has your information.

What steps to take depends largely on what the Trump administration does next.
“I can certainly see there being massive protests and massive pressure,” Maschler said. “And see things happen that would make it decided not to [end DACA] for pragmatic reasons ... I think risk versus benefits comes out. If someone already disclosed information and is just renewing, they might as well renew. Someone applying for the first time, it’s a tougher call.”

Some people did get to keep their 3 year EADs depending on when it was issued.

No one knows what will happen. It is all speculation.

Yes I kept mine only because I got it on January but it was counted who else got it for 3 years

If trump does get rid of it I am pretty are he will let the Big SC rule it unconstitutional

At this point, really there is no point in making any claims. We could be scaring users over here. There is no indication of what Trump will be doing. It is absolutely clear that criminals will definitely be targeted. The key question here is will DACA be terminated, IF it is terminated will USCIS share info with ICE? To me, there's a very remote possibility of this happening but still never know. The only troubling thing to me is this Kris Kobach seems to have an influential role right now. He is supposedly "advising" the team. Seriously some people out there are ruthlessly trying their best to get us. This will not go down well. They can get us right now but in the future they are going to face a lot of backlash in Congress. There seems to be a lot of legal ambiguity around all this. Immigration attorneys will have a ball in this environment. They will be extremely busy interpreting the laws. For example, if DACA is terminated can't the EAD's be good at least until expiry date? Only solid immigration attorneys will survive here. It's going to be very interesting.

My first point, if DACA is canceled it will be unpopular because we are considered "young kids". Second point, they can pass any bills they want because as far as I understand republicans control everything, so the possibility of anti immigration bills is plausible, idk about an eventually amnesty. Just my two cents.

Bonus question, @ 2Face for all practical purposes, isn't ICE and USCIS the same? meaning sharing info shouldn't be a problem?

i strongly believe that daca will turn into green cards. remember daca recipients are not criminals. most of them working and paying huge taxes. so we are no harm to country. hopefully sooner or later we will get our green cards or citizenships.
